In summertime, Đakovo celebrates it's long-standing and rich tradition presenting three different aspects of Slavonia's cultural tradition, integrated into in a single event in July: folklore, which the visitors can enjoy within numerous music programs; gastronomy, the highlights of its diversity being the famous fish stew, čobanac (sheperd's stew) and Đakovo kulen; and the horse breeding tradition, its splendor presented in the equestrian competitions at the Đakovo hippodrome.

Every year, all lovers of Slavonia's and Baranya's cultural heritage can enjoy thousands of folk costumes, music, dances and customs all of which are a great source of pride for this region.
